In iTunes, Adjust Start And Stop Times
iTunes is a handy feature, but little known, which allows you to specify when a certain track should start and stop a potentially useful if you want to cut unwanted materials or interruptions meanders.
Gossip website Popjustice music reminded me of this when applying this approach to a new single from British singer Alesha Dixon, the first 19 seconds of what he describes as “2010′s worst portion of recorded sound”. It could also be useful with live recordings if you want to eliminate pre or post-song chatter and focus the actual tune. To access the option, right-click on a track, select “Get Info”, choose the Options tab and select your start and/or stop times.
