IPad was recently been introduced by Apple recently. Many in the blogsphere have had a lukewarm to downright negative response to the device. The device is essentially a big iPod Touch. A device that can run applications, get on the network, and play iTunes media. Many do not think that it is worth the hype for such a simple device. They are focusing on what it does not do. Apple is seeing things differently.
Many people at home use their laptops, Personal Computers to surf the net, look at youtube, shoot off a few e-mails and do some social networking. That is what the iPad can do. The iPad does all that without the hurdles that may accompany most computing devices like hard drive issues, viruses, etc. Many are intimidated by those issues and complexity. That’s the market that the iPad is looking to satisfy. Of course, the cool factor will reel many in, but the consumers who want to easily get on the network with little hassle will love this device. On the upside for Apple, they will have another device that can purchase applications from the application store. Ensuring even more revenue.
It’s a big iPod Touch. But is that so wrong? Network access simple and easy to use user interface that is willing. Simple is better. The size and ease of use is exactly what many wanted. The iPhone and the Touch has inaugurated a new era of user-friendly interface. Hopefully ipad will do the same.
