It is a shame that they have not fixed the glaring error of the 4 gen in that IT WILL NOT CHARGE when linked to those lesser known docking stations and speakers such as Bose, Altec Lansing, Logitec et al. Obviously, some idiots cling to their older iPods are not compatible with the platforms and burned their achievements. Apples” solution – do away with Firewire connection. Now the idiots are protected from themselves and the rest of us can connect to an Apple computer or use your power cable (charges) to load the thing. That ‘is very useful. Birdy
