Purchases For Targeted Ads – Apple Studies iTunes
Apple has begun to analyze the purchasing habits of consumers in the iTunes App Store via the
information provided by its mobile advertising platform to the IAD.
The company aims to disseminate more targeted ads to their customers.
According to a report on trafficking in the media, Apple began building its advertising network by
studying data on consumer spending and creating efficiency, the opinions of the platform.
Apple iTunes Store has about 150 million users worldwide to download music, books, movies and
platform applications.
Apple may use the data on overall consumption to determine the type of behavior of their users,
which can then be used to deliver advertising important to their users.
In a statement, Rachel Pasqua, the director at iCrossing said: “Apple knows what you’ve
downloaded, how much time you spend interacting with applications and knows even what you’ve
downloaded, don’t like and deleted.”
