Apple iPod Touch Mesmerize more consumers than the iPhone?

It’s amazing how wireless clients to protect their iPhones to the point of being delusional,as some consultants had found, just so they can use a superb device on lower-than-mediocre network.

But it is an incredible testimony of Apple (AAPL), which many have chosen to carry the mobile phone rivals (including an entry-level model)in addition to sporting an iPod touch. The touch can do everything the iPhone is not just a phone feature. All the user needs is wireless Internet.

The cost is very low — under $200 for starters — and there is no exorbitant monthly fees from AT&T.Consequently, the iPod touch could start resonating with customers fed up with AT&T’s (T) service levels or those who simply refuse to pay a wallet chunk per month to Ma Bell. Holiday sales of iPod touch (and Trackable use patterns)indicate this.

It seems that whatever route Apple customers choose, Apple wins. With shares of AAPL hovering at record highs, the picture could get even brighter? Yes.

With a rumor of Tablet PC and the newest iteration of the iPhone due in 2010, Apple will remain red-hot.If Apple gets the iPhone out from under AT&T’s shackles and into Verizon Wireless land, then watch out as iPhone sales may reach a new record. But for millions, the iPod touch in May became the laptop of your choice, all without the high monthly fees (or any other charges) and an initial cost is reasonable. As usual, Apple wins. Service partners are partial winners, and that’s all.
