In this year, Apple isn’t participating in Macworld,  but the Consumer Electronics Association, sponsor of the Conference, provides an indicator “iLounge” where over 100 exhibitors displayed products iPhone,iPod and Mac-related wares.

LAS VEGAS – While Apple did not participating ,and never has ,at the annual Consumer Electronics Show, the presence of the conpany has long loomed over it. This is no different this year, with non-stop buzz about an Apple tablet possibly being announced later this month. What is different is that Apple related products are being given their own showcase at CES, the first time in the world’s largest fair for consumer technology.

Given Apple’s influence in the world of personal technology may seem like a “no duh” and years of delay. But historically, Apple has taken part in the annual Macworld conference, usually held around the same time as CES, often stealing its thunder with announcements of new products from the iPhone to iPods.
