Apple will replace Dead Battery iPads with New iPad for $99
With the new iPad, however, they just won’t replace the battery. They’ll give you a new iPad for just $99 exclusive of shipping charges. That’s what he said in his iPad Program FAQ Battery Replacement:
If your iPad requires service due to the battery’s diminished ability to hold an electrical charge, Apple will replace your iPad for a service fee.
In the case of the iPhone, when its battery dies, Apple will charge you a corresponding service fee to have a new one battery installed on it.

Not bad, eh? Getting a new iPad is definitely more well worth it than just getting its battery replaced. Unfortunately, this policy is only applies to the iPad, but we cross our fingers and hope that Apple will have a change of heart and bring it to the iPhone and iPod Touch and other iPod models.
