Still cannot see Outlook 2010 – iTunes 9.1

Not long ago, iTunes has had some problems with Outlook 2010 beta. The fact that the current application has not been able to synchronize with a beta version of Microsoft Outlook is disturbing, but not too big of a concern. After all Outlook is still a beta.

Well, now we have more important concerns. It seems that the latest version of iTunes and more (9.1) is not yet able to see or deal with Outlook 2010. This is a problem (in my mind at least) because there has been a public version of this software out since mid-2009. I thought that Apple would have solved the problem (which is not really much to look for PST and OST files in another directory) yet.

Office 2010 is supposed to hit stores this summer. I hope this is fixed by then or it could be more than a few Office users very unhappy that they can not sync contacts and calendar entries.

iTunes Facebook Connect will be applicable

We are listening to iTunes Facebook Connect will be applicable in the near future support, allowing users to share some of their recent purchases with your friends on facebook. We are still gathering information, but it seems that it could happen very soon.

Without doubt, this makes sense. In recent weeks, iTunes has been building his Facebook page on Facebook.com / iTunes, which now includes surveys, featured items and is promoted in iTunes itself. And Lala, which was acquired by Apple in December, has extensive experience working with Facebook Connect (also the power of Facebook Grant song).

To be clear, you can share songs in iTunes using Facebook and Twitter (the role was introduced last September). It appears that this integration could facilitate this task, and there is, of course, that Apple can leverage the Facebook social graph in a much more interesting in the future.

Apple already has worked to add support for other Facebook applications, iPhoto includes an integrated Facebook photo uploader.
