iTunes Store, Financial iPad Apps

Just days after the official launch of the IPAD, many financial companies already have applications running. In particular, E-Trade, NASDAQ and Thomson Reuters have all developed new apps for the iPad, or expanded on their applications that were already available for the iPhone and iPod Touch.

Free Application E-Commerce Mobile Pro app fits the specifications of the iPad perfectly, offering a combination of the application for the iPhone and additional features that are available in full-service site. NASDAQ and Reuters also take advantage of the added computing power of the iPad to offer more sophisticated features I their iPad apps than they were able to with the iPhone version.

It will be interesting to see what kind of features are added as more applications for deployment in the coming weeks.

Tops iTunes Game Charts – EA

This past week EA has taken several of the top spots on the iTunes Games section and The Sims 3 World Adventures took #1. With a majority of these titles being on sale as well, it should be no surprise. Kotaku has the full list of maps.

Also topping near the top of the chart at #3 is Call of Duty World At War Zombies which seems to be a take on the popular Nazi Zombie mode seen in the hit 2008 game on consoles. I guess it is not surprising that sells well, even the high price of $ 9.99.

I’m not sure if the iPad will have its own charts for games or if it will combine into the current iPhone chart. I hope that is separate, simply because it would be unfair to compare the number of iPhone users and IPAD yet.
