To land on iPad screens, Apple iAds
Embedded advertising will soon be released by Apple in its iPhone and Ipad as reported by ABC News. This reinvention will be presented with a series of changes in the coming months.
integrated ads will be part of the platform advertising Apple called the IAD. The platform will be available in the next OS4. It enables application developers to add items on the applications they provide. This was announced by Steve Jobs last week itself.
“The iPhone user spends on average 30 minutes per day using applications. Now, if we said we wanted to put an ad every three minutes, that would be 10 ads per device per day. We’re going to soon have 100 million devices. That’s a billion ad opportunities per day in the iPhone and iPod touch community,” Apple chief Steve Jobs said.
It is an event after giving tons of free apps for iPod touch and iPhone users.
The iAd subscribers namely the developers and advertisers will have to pay different rates for iPhone and iPad for advertisements. The rates would vary because of the sizes of the units.
This is another breakthrough in publishing and advertising. With all this, most benefits would go to Apple itself.
