In the iTunes Store – Eat This, Not That! game hits number one
Men’s Health Magazine created a crazy-popular nutrition guide called Eat This, Not That! that to propose substitutions for food choices the most common. It is not surprising that the book has a request, or that the video game version of the application has reached number one on the iTunes Store. We are just surprised it took Men’s Health this long to turn America’s food obsession into a game.
The game version of the implementation is faced with two pictures of each food choice (eg, two slices of french toast versus a short stack of pancakes) and challenges the player to choose the healthier option . In the informal setting, you get points for each correct answer and you can see the nutritional information for each food after each answer. In speed mode, you lose points for wrong answers, bonuses for strings score of correct answers, and do not get to see the nutritional information at the end of round.
It may not be as useful to health-conscious diners sitting in a Denny’s wondering whether to order the Grand Slam or steak and eggs breakfast, but it’s worth the download if you don’t want to shell out $5 for the normal Eat This, Not That! app. Find it here.
