To alert hay-fever sufferers, iPhone app

FEVER sufferers across the country are being offered help by a new iPhone application.

The free application allows pollen per day alert, province by province and forecast warns users of pollen levels.

The product – available on the Apple iTunes Store – also provides opportunities for the next day. Executive Director of the company, Dr Jean Holohan, said this summer has been particularly bad for the nearly 423,000 people suffering from hay fever in Ireland.

She said: “The cold snap in January delayed the spring bloom — subsequent rains and now the current good weather have created the perfect storm in terms of pollen and hay fever.

“These are boom conditions for pollen production.”

He advised patients to projections in the eye to remove pollen and wear wraparound shades.

Hackers Invaded Apple iBook Store

Store new Apple iBook seems to have been the target of hackers this weekend when the top 50 vendors was overrun with 42 books in one editor, who mysteriously disappeared.

Now, you see, not now! This weekend, iTunes was struck by what appears to be a hacking attempt, with a company, stupidly named “mycompany” managed to get 42 of the 50 books sold in the store iBooks.

How they managed this is the big question, first suspected a problem in the scheduling of Apple, but some people began to find their iTunes accounts are hundreds of dollars for the purchase of books assigned to them that any had done, all of which point to these “popular” books. What a coincidence!

Apple did not comment on the situation, but it is interesting to note that all the books in question had mysteriously disappeared from the iBook store.

‘Thuat Nguyen’, the so-called owner of “mycompany”, does not appear to be legit in the slightest, the companies web site redirects to a holding page. Not the kind of unprofessional behaviour you’d have expected from a real book seller.

It’s not like Apple to be overlooked when it comes to safety, despite the recent Apple iPhone IPAD four releases have increased interest in iTunes a huge amount recently. We recommend that access to iTunes and check account details and purchase history, and change your password only sure dude!
