Releases first single on iTunes – Vernon Hills band
The crisis of the half-life, a group based in Vernon Hills, released his first single in early. The song, entitled “Born in the Summer of Love,” is now available for download on iTunes and other digital music sites.
The song pays homage to the summer of 1967, later dubbed “The Summer of Love” by the media. “It was an exciting time culturally and musically,” says band member Scott Powder, who wrote the lyrics and music.
A series of bands like The Doors and Jimi Hendrix released his first album this year. The Beatles released “Sergeant Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band” in June, and the first Monterrey Pop Festival was held, which offered many newsgroups and marked the beginning of the great idea of the festival of outdoor music.
The title of the song is more or less autobiographical. “I was born in 1967, but that’s where the similarities end with the song. My parents were not hippies and raised in Ohio, ” explained Powder.
