The Choir of Westminster Abbey, the Royal Chapel Choir, the London Chamber Orchestra and the Fanfare Team from the Central Band of the Royal Air Force – The 21-track collection features performances.
On May 10 in the US, A physical album will also be released, including a collector’s booklet featuring segments of the service such as readings and the vows.
The Royal Wedding: The Official Album on Decca Records includes the welcome, the marriage and vows, the blessing, the procession and hymns from Westminster Abbey, and these pieces of music:
* March from the Birds – the procession of the Queen
* Prelude on Rhosymedre
* Ubi Caritas – the Motet
* The National Anthem – “God Save the Queen”
* Blest Pair of Sirens (the signing of the register)
* Valiant and Brave fanfare
* Toccata from Symphonie V
Also, individual tracks, such as the vows, will be available as singles.
According to Research, the wedding coverage, drew an audience of 22.8 million viewers in the US and was covered by 11 TV networks. By contrast, in 1981 Prince Charles and Diana’s wedding was watched by 14.2 million.
